Tactical equipment lifecycle

Everything you issue, accounted for.

TRACE gives armouring programs and specialty units a single, auditable record for weapons, armour, accessories and tactical equipment, from intake and issuance through maintenance, forecasting and retirement.

Built for high-security operations

  • Practitioner-built
  • On-premises or sovereign cloud
  • SOC 2 Type 1
  • Tamper-evident records
  • Integration-ready
The problem

Equipment accountability should not depend on a spreadsheet.

An armouring program answers for equipment that has to be available, serviceable and accounted for on the day someone asks. TRACE replaces fragmented logs with a live picture that follows each asset for its whole life.

Manual tracking

Paper logs and spreadsheets create gaps, errors and duplicate work. The record is only as current as the last person who remembered to update it.

Limited visibility

No live view of where an asset is, who holds it, or whether it is serviceable. Answering a simple question means sending someone to look.

Compliance risk

Missed service intervals and incomplete records create avoidable liability, and they surface at the worst possible moment.

No forward view

Replacement and budget requirements stay hidden until they are urgent, which is the most expensive time to discover them.

What TRACE manages

One record for the equipment that has to be ready.

A police armourer logs a shotgun on a tablet at the bench, the weapon in its case beside trays of ammunition.
Lifecycle

From intake to retirement, nothing drops out of the record.

One pistol, TR-10428, at each of the five stages. Step through it and the record, the status and the service life move with it.

01Digitize

The record starts once, and it is the only one.

Intake creates the authoritative record for the asset: make, model, serial, class, procurement date and the documents that came with it. From here there is nothing else to reconcile against.

Forward view

Replace before it fails.

Service history, round counts and replacement dates are already in the record. Read together, they tell an armouring program what is going to need attention and money, while there is still time to plan for it.

  • Project replacement dates from real service history

  • Put a real number on next year's equipment budget

  • Catch maintenance risk before it fails in the field

  • Find the assets that sit in a rack and never move

Who it is for

Built for places where accountability is operational.

Police services

An armouring program without the paper trail, and an answer ready the day the auditor asks for one.

  • Weapon issuance
  • Program compliance
  • Audit readiness

Military and defence

Lifecycle control across secure inventories, with access that matches the sensitivity of what is being held.

  • Equipment readiness
  • Controlled access
  • Full lifecycle history

Critical infrastructure

High-security assets under clear accountability, with the regulatory record produced from live data.

  • Regulatory compliance
  • Maintenance accountability
  • Live inventory
Why now

The chiefs have put this in writing.

In July 2026 the CACP adopted a resolution asking every province and territory to consider requiring police services to hold asset-management and disposal policies for the kit that identifies an officer. Nova Scotia already legislates it. Newfoundland and Labrador has passed its own and is waiting on proclamation.

“standardized asset-management and disposal policies for police identity items, including tracking, recovery, and processes for rendering items unserviceable”

CACP Resolution 2026-05, Reducing Police Impersonation RiskAdopted 22 July 2026
Nova Scotia

Police Identity Management Act

In force since May 2022

Regulates the possession, fabrication, sale and distribution of police articles, uniforms, vehicle markings and equipment, with mandatory tracking and disposal requirements.

Newfoundland and Labrador

Law Enforcement Identity Management Act

Enacted 2024, awaiting proclamation

A comparable framework covering possession, use, fabrication and sale, along with asset-management and disposal requirements.

A resolution is a recommendation to government, not a rule. The direction it points in is not ambiguous.

Deployment

Your equipment data stays where your policy says it should.

On-premises

TRACE runs inside your own infrastructure, so storage, access and security policy stay entirely under your control. Built for environments with strict internal hosting requirements.

Sovereign cloud

A secure regional deployment that matches the on-premises security and compliance posture, with data ownership and policy control unchanged and no infrastructure to run.

  • Role-based access
  • Full audit logging
  • Tamper-evident records
  • End-to-end encryption
  • Integration-ready

We will walk your team through the lifecycle workflow, the maintenance controls, the reporting, and what a first deployment would look like for your armouring program or specialty unit.
